New matters can be added from the Matters view. Any member of the organization can add a matter.
Standard subscribers are not able to add new matters. A matter is adopted from the Premium organization that sent the initial document.
On the Matters view, select the Add Matter action ico located on the Matter List panel.
A matter name and matter reference is required to create a new matter. The matter reference and name combination must be unique within the organization. The creator of the matter is automatically assigned as a participant on the matter. Existing members may be added as co-participants but are optional when creating a matter - see Manage matter participants.
Once the new matter is created, it will be shown on the Matter List panel.
Note:
- Once a selected as a participant on a matter, a member will have access to all functions and documents within the matter.
