Learn how to update the matter name and reference

The matter description consists of a name and reference, and it uniquely identifies a matter at an organization.

Any matter participant can update the name or reference of a matter. To edit the matter description, select the matter from the Matters List panel on the Matters view and choose the Edit ico option on the matter title bar.

STANDARD SUBSCRIBER NOTE

Standard subscribers are not able to add new matters.  A matter is adopted from the Premium organization that sent the initial document.

The matter name and reference are required, and the matter name and reference combination must be unique within the organization.
